Angus Law, 18 years old from Melbourne, has experience in all forms of acting, from Shakespearean classics, to playing characters from the minds of Australia’s up-and-coming filmmakers, and everything in between.
As a theatrical actor, Angus has played well known roles from across the landscape, including Nick Bottom in Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Orin Scrivello from the hit Little Shop of Horrors, and even experimenting with more dramatic roles such as Solange from Jean Genet’s introspective The Maids.
Training-wise, Angus has studied with the likes of Danaë Grieef and Merilyn Brend-Robinson at the Australian College of Dramatic Arts, as well as Chris Peters, known for his stunt coordination on Australian cultural icons such as Kath and Kim and Mad Max.
Angus’ film credits are of note, with supporting roles in independent films such as Rubus Polyanthemus, Jesus Christ was a Communist, and Nowhere to Run. Additionally, he has played the lead role in Respect Me, a short educational film funded by the National Trust of Victoria.
Angus has a wide array of skills under his belt, such as his affluence for other elements of filmmaking such as handheld camera operation, scriptwriting, and editing, as well as an interest in skateboarding, vocal screaming, and parkour/freerunning. He is looking forward to becoming a rising star in the Australian dramatic industry, and dreams of playing Ben Tennyson (Ben 10) in an official project.
